This exhibition catalog accompanies the first major retrospective dedicated to Franco Fontana (b.1933), one of the most influential Italian photographers of the 20th century, renowned for his vivid color compositions and geometric abstractions.

Curated by Jean-Luc Monterosso, founder and former director of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, the exhibition presents over 200 works spanning more than 60 years of Fontana’s career.
