Károly Ferenczy: Modernité hongroise

This exhibition catalog is the first French-language monograph devoted to Károly Ferenczy (1862–1917), one of the leading figures in the emergence of Hungarian modernism.

His work occupies an important position between late 19th-century European painting and the development of a distinctly Hungarian modern art.

This richly illustrated volume traces Ferenczy’s career and the stylistic diversity of his work while placing his painting within the broader European artistic context of his time.
