This catalog accompanies the first museum exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian artist Mykola Tolmachev (b. 1993), held at the Musée Maillol in Banyuls-sur-Mer from June 19 to November 17, 2024.

Mykola Tolmachev  is a Ukrainian artist known for his ethereal watercolors that merge classical precision with poetic, often provocative themes. Trained in Kyiv and Paris, he explores the human figure, identity, and desire through a distinctive visual language that evokes the elegance of the Old Masters while remaining strikingly contemporary.
