Dedicated to Giorgio Vasari, painter, architect, and pioneering art historian, the exhibition explores the theme of “virtue” as both a personal value and a visual metaphor in Vasari’s work. The catalog features over 100 detailed entries on exhibited works and nine scholarly essays, offering new insights into Vasari’s artistic language, allegorical imagination, and cultural legacy.

A special section of the exhibition takes place in the deconsecrated Church of Sant’Ignazio, where four monumental altarpieces by Vasari—created between 1545 and 1569—are reunited and displayed together for the first time. These masterpieces reflect Vasari’s unique interpretation of sacred themes and his bold, theatrical style.

Published by Mandragora, the volume includes more than 300 color images across 404 pages.
